I've loved creating for as long as I can remember. I can recall memories as far back as about 4 years old, driving my mum crazy by cutting up paper rolls and milk cartons to create sculptures and accidentally painting all over her floors and carpets in my teen years while creating large paintings on canvas. Sorry mum! ​

I was fortunate enough to be formally trained by some amazing Australian artists like Wendy Sharp, Ian Grant and Alan Leech Jones at COFA (UNSW). Wendy Sharp being a big influence on my work- I adore the way she depicts light and her use of colour. 

​

Recently, I spent some time living in sunny Fremantle, WA where I experienced my own Renaissance. A creative rebirth after years of teaching others how to nurture their own creativity. Now back in Sydney, I am painting full time and loving every moment. 

​

My art depicts my stories of everyday moments through still life and landscape painting. Eclectic and nostalgic, I love combing elements of realism and contemporary expressionism using gestural mark making and bold colour to depict objects that tell a story. There is a focus on the cultural connections of places, spaces, customs and objects and how they relate to the everyday, often combining my own cultural heritage with my love of Australiana. My collectors often tell me they can relate to the narratives and objects personally or through their own storytelling. Still on the journey.
